OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

The Mirada Inn is located in the north east sector of Ottawa, at the crossroads of Montreal Road and St. Laurent Blvd. We are only five minutes away from Parliament Hill , and the rest of the Downtown area. Nestled on a two acre landscaped lot, sheltered from the street, we offer a special retreat away from it all, yet with all the necessary conveniences near by.

There are three major banks close to us, The Royal Bank Of Canada, (right next door.) The Toronto Dominion Bank, (directly across the street.) The Bank of Montreal, (just at the corner).

Shopping malls, two of the finest in Ottawa are only a short drive away (5 mins), however two strip malls across the street from us have almost everything you'll need. Within walking distance you'll find, groceries, dry cleaning, the beer store, pet food & supplies, don't forget that we do accept pets at The Mirada Inn. Also across the street is Mail Boxes Etc. for your special office needs. There is no shortage of fast food outlets .... Tim Horton's, McDonalds, and a Swiss Chalet are all right near by. Also, in our neighborhood are some fine Greek, French, and Chinese restaurants. We also offer a wide variety of food at our own Dynasty Cafe.

Ottawa is quickly making a name for it self in the sporting world. With our Ottawa Senators Hockey team doing better every year, and our Triple A Baseball team The Ottawa Lynx providing the best entertainment for the buck as well as our C.F.L. Ottawa Renegades for some professional football. We are approximately 25 - 30 mins. east of Corel Center, where the Senators play, and only 5 mins. from Jet Forum Baseball Park. If spectating isn't your thing, and you want to participate yourself, well there are many beautiful bike paths on which you can ride , walk or roller blade on. We are also only a 5 min. drive from the Pineview Golf & Country Club offering two courses.

There are many museums to see in Ottawa but the two which are a very close drive from us are the Aviation Museum and the Science & Technology Museum, both a "must see".

Blockbuster Video, right across from us provides all your video rentals, whether it be movies & V.C.R.'s to video games for the kids. There is also a gas bar for your convenience, again directly across the street.

At The Mirada Inn , we are conveniently located, with all of our neighbors providing all of your necessities right close by. If there is , however, something not handy to you, our friendly front desk staff will gladly track it down for you.
